About Us

On 12th Street, half a block from the buzz of downtown Clermont, Lodge #1848 has been doing what Elks do best: showing up. Members gather here throughout the week for live music nights, card games, billiards, and the kind of easy conversation that doesn't need a special occasion. When Rob Nichols takes the stage and a surprise guest like Tommy D jumps in for a few songs, the room reminds you exactly why you paid those dues.

The lodge carries a 4.6-star reputation across dozens of reviews, and the reason is simple: the people. You'll find retired veterans swapping stories beside young professionals who just moved to the area, all united by the Elks' core commitments to charity, patriotism, and community service. From local fundraisers to statewide Elks initiatives to national causes, Lodge #1848 punches well above its weight in giving back.

Membership opens the door to a full social calendar, a comfortable bar, and a network of 48,000+ Elks lodges across the country. Whether you're traveling or just need a familiar face in a new town, your Elks card travels with you.

What We Offer

The lodge floor stays active all week long. Live entertainment on select evenings draws a crowd, with local and regional performers filling the room. Gaming nights, including pool, cards, and other lodge favorites, give members a low-key reason to get out of the house any night of the week. The full-service bar keeps things social, and the pricing conversation members have had is a fair one the lodge continues to work on.

Beyond the social scene, charitable programming sits at the heart of everything Lodge #1848 does. Members organize and participate in fundraisers that benefit youth programs, veterans' services, and community relief efforts across South Lake County and beyond. If you want your free time to actually mean something, this is the room where that happens.

The lodge also hosts private event rentals for members and community partners, making it one of the more versatile gathering spaces near downtown Clermont. Inquire through the website to check availability.

"Very nice location close to downtown Clermont, easy walking distance to pretty much anywhere downtown. Lots of charitable functions for the local community, as well as state, and our nation. Only second time I've been to the lodge, first time at this location, it moved several years ago. Sierra was a great bartender and was very friendly to us even though we came in later in the evening. Would highly recommend Clermont Elks to anyone considering doing something for their community. In addition you get the benefit of joining a national organization with thousands of lodges across our nation. This is just one of the really good ones"

"We had a great time! Rob Nichols was performing and Tommy D stopped by and sang a few! Lots of fun! Wish they would dim the lights to make it more bar atmosphere."

"Good people come to enjoy fellowship and play various games throughout the week. Bar prices are too high in my opinion when I think that membership lodges like this usually charge less than the local eateries."

"The local Clermont lodge strives to uphold the qualities of the Elks Lodge. A wonderful place to pass through especially if you're a visiting member. The Facebook page has all the current updates on times and events. Great lodge."

"Traveling through town and wanted to stop in to visit. Called the phone and there was no information available on open/closed hours; nor a way to leave a message. Google map page doesn't list open/closed hours; and web page only offers a "contact us" form. Would have been nice to visit the Elks but ended up at another club instead. :("

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
